No! Don’t shutdown!

So, you’ve installed a piece of software in windows and accidentally clicked “restart now” instead of “restart later”. If only there was a way to abort the shutdown sequence! There is!

Win+R (brings up the run dialog)
Type “shutdown -a” (without the quotes, “a” for “abort”)
Push the go button!

Of course if you’re computer is running well you’ll have to do this pretty quickly for it to be any use but it’s better than sitting there going “nooooooo!” as all your programs get closed.
