So I’ve got four Word documents which need to be combined as one PDF. So I “print” them to PDF files. I then open acrobat and try to combine the four PDFs. It does this, so I save the file. I then reopen the file and notice that some bits of text are missing. Only the odd line here and there but it’s far from ideal!
So I go looking for a fix. Microsoft seems to have one, so I try and download it and discover to my surprise that Microsoft have the most effective, efficient, simple, painless system for delivering hotfixes that I have seen. “Really?!”, you cry incredulously. Of course not! It’s a piece of shit! It’s a webpage that emails you a link to another, supposedly password protected webpage (they sent me a password but it wasn’t needed) where you can download a self-extracting zip/exe which fails to extract. Awesome, huh?
Luckily it told me about the error. Apparently it’s a code 110…so that’s nice.
